The
ARTECH brand of Biesse Wood Division offers a vast range of single-side
edge-banding machines capable of satisfying the high-quality
edge-banding needs of small and medium woodworking businesses. In
addition to semi-automatic machines for edge-banding and trimming of
shaped panels (SINGLE, SPEEDY and COPYROUND),
ARTECH also offers a range
of automatic
single-side |

edge-banding machines for the first-time buyer (LATO 23 S, LATO 28-38)
and for industrial applications (AKRON 800). The medium range
edge-banding machines include the AKRON 600 and the AKRON 245/AKRON 246
characterised by their optimum price/performance ratio and simplicity of
use. Multifunctional,
numerically controlled operating units ensure high versatility and easy,
fast and precise switching between machining operations. High quality
finish and avant-garde construction technology constitute the principal
philosophy behind all ARTECH products.The new range of AKRON
edge-banding machines offers new machine setup systems that can be
easily used even by less experienced operators. The safety of the
operator is guaranteed by protective metal housings over all the
operating units,
which

allow
full visibility of the operating units themselves through the Lexan
windows. The ARTECH manual drilling machines and semi-automatic

AKRON 800

The high
range edge-banding machines include the Akron 800. Akron 800 is available
in 7 basic machine lengths (with the addition of Akron 830) with wheels or
belt top presser and it can be fully customised in terms of performance
and composition, according to the Customer’s needs and applications. The
control systems use CNC or Personal Computer (Touch screen on demand) with
simple, intuitive commands suitable even for non-expert operators. Akron
800 can be used for many applications: this machine is able to band all
type of edges in coils up to 3 mm and solid wood strips up to 22 mm and
also aluminium edges. They can also have solutions for machining panels
that have already been drilled and/or milled with “pro-nesting” devices
available on every working units, also on edgescraper unit and gluescraper
unit (newness at Xylexpo 2006), to speed up the production cycle. The use
of Polyurethane adhesives in granular form is easy and swift and it
ensures an optimal banding for furniture’s components which can be in
contact with humidity or any heating source. The main dust extraction
system has been also realised for dynamic working units (like end trimming
unit and corner rounding unit) with high precision and reliability
performances.

AKRON 600

This
is a new line of products consisting of medium-high range
single-side edge-banding machines derived directly from the
AKRON 800. The fully modular characteristic of ARTECH
edge-banding machine is also present in this product, though
here attention has been focused on competitiveness and
price/performance ratio. The typical functions of the high-range
edge-banding machines (flexibility, simple programming, etc.)
have been made available at a decisively more competitive price
for users not requiring the high performances of the AKRON 800.

AKRON 200

Specifically designed mid-range single-side edge-banding machines,
compact, solid construction, easy to use and extremely flexible. The
AKRON 245/246 are edge-banding machines incorporating all the
functions required for carrying out precision and quality machining for
whoever produces furniture in small lots (craftsmen, small businesses,
prototype departments of large factories) and requires frequent changes in
width and type of edge-banding strip |
